Supply of LED Lighting

Company background: Bernard Construction are a construction company specialising in residential development.

Scope of works: To supply a variety of LED bulbs of equivalent or better performance to current LED bulb supplier. Bulbs would have to match or exceed in lumens per watt, have similar light spread and be rated at least 25,000 hours. Warranty on each bulb to exceed 5 years. Bulbs to be supplied include GU10, T8 and various all-in-one fittings.

Payment terms: Client to purchase directly from our proposed supplier. Supplier to supply all necessary warranties for products. 

Outcome: Bernard Construction are experienced developers and have a long list of suppliers. For their latest development, they forwarded quotations received for all lighting products to be used at their site. 

Our building services expert Cian Geaney specialises in energy savings and has been the Lead Project Manager for many multi-million pound energy savings projects for Carillion Plc, the UK’s largest building company before their unfortunate bankruptcy in 2018.

Cian still utilises Carillion’s supply network and sourced the lighting at a fraction of the price. All lighting we put forward exceeded the lumens per watt performance and we doubled their existing warranty to 10 years. We then set out to technically prove the bulbs’ superior performance using certified technical data. 

Bernard Construction saved 9% in total across over 10 types of product. They paid the proposed supplier directly and had no other cost incurred. Our supplier gave us a “finders fee” for introducing the buyer, a true win win situation for all parties.
